Dileri Johnston

Clay Artist | Teacher

Dileri has loved working with clay since she first played with it in high school, and then more formally in a college ceramics course. She took classes over the years, but had not really done anything with clay since the early 2000s. Over the pandemic, she got hooked watching The Great British Throwdown, which motivated her to look for a studio where she could take classes, which is how she landed at Mud and was hooked again from day 1.

Dileri feels like she has found a warm and supportive community here. She learns continuously from teachers and other members - clay artists are so generous with their knowledge! She’s thrilled to be able to share her love for this craft that allows her to express her creativity, while making objects that are both useful and beautiful.

Dileri would describe her pottery style as simple and functional. Her quest to make the perfect mug continues…
