Studio Memberships

PLEASE READ, There have been some changes
Open Studio Memberships are available for those that wish to work independently with a flexible schedule. Experienced potters and hand builders can register for 8 or 4 week memberships to utilize the studio during open studio hours. Must be approved by staff.

Open Studio members can come during classes & events, subject to wheel availability. If you come during classes, please be considerate so as to not interrupt or impose on the instructor for help. This is a non instructional membership. CLAY IS NOT INCLUDED.

$495 for EIGHT WEEKS.
We have eliminated the 4 week membership, unless you are home from college

No Extensions will be made for vacations or missed weeks. All work must be ready for glaze kiln at the end of your membership if you do not wish to renew.
Work must be ready for glaze fire by the end of your 8 week session

Open Studio Memberships

Clay must be approved by staff if it is purchased outside of studio. Scan QR Code located at studio to purchase clay

Open Studio Members will get their own shelves for work in progress, tools. If your works, glazes and other stuff does not fit on ONE shelf, please take home with you or put in your clay. You will get one space for ONE bag of clay along with other members work. Any additional clay MUST be kept ON YOUR SHELF!
Additional shelves is $50 per session when available. Members may not leave their work on studio bats.

Firing fees- $.06 per cubic inch (includes Bisque and Glaze firing, regardless of which glaze you use.) This is the price whether you do one fire or both

Artists will be responsible for damage to shelves, please be careful of your glazing techniques.


Boonton Mud News:

As of February 1, Boonton Mud will be under new ownership. John, one of the owners of Boonton Mud will now be the sole owner and it has a New Name. It will now be called Newbury Pottery Studio.
